The University of Surrey Mountaineering Club is based in Guildford, Surrey. We're a friendly bunch, who mostly climb. We have
also been known to play at kiting, slacklining, parkour, kayaking and caving.
We meet every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm to climb at the Vertex in Unisport, after which we all head to Roots, one of the campus bars, for drinks and a chat. We also meet every Wednesday afternoon from 2-4pm at the Vertex for training sessions and more climbing.
We also organise fortnightly weekend trips to crags around the country for trad and sport climbing as well as our annual Easter trip to Cornwall and several trips abroad to places like Fontainbleau, the Alps, the Ardeche, Mallorca, Spain and more!
If you want to join the USMC, sign up to our forums or come along to a club session at the Vertex. All are welcome.
