The club will have a Rockfax but this website also has quite a few topo's. I'm going to print some off I think.

I'm going to order some maps of the area for the club. Can anyone who's been before recommend the area we're likely to stick to from the link below? I'm guessing just the one that encompasses Ax les Thermes and Orlu? Alan?

Deposit paid (usual ref USMC Alex D)

I'll need a club tent too, uber for choice

For Tiff: I've paid 36.10 into the account. This accounts for 15.50 credit from Wye Valley and also an additional 8.40 of misc funds the club owed me.

Some of them are amazing!

Alex does the club own a guide book covering Ariege?

Not explicitly but we've got 'french rock' and 'french rock climbs' from the early 90's which may give a mention. I'll try and find them out tomorrow. I wouldn't get your hopes up though!

Been reading this: http://forum.climbing.ie/index.php?topic=1492.0

The final post gives loads on info about staying/climbing in Les Calanques. However, it looks like Alan's right and it's frequently closed in summer due to fire hazard. Shame

Damn hot works for me! Though I get what you're saying, we do want to get some climbing done!

Les Calanques looks nice too, hadn't looked at it. Judging by the clubs guidebook list, we went there in 1992.

The Verdon Gorge has got me very excited. Over 1000 routes and it has multipitches! Weather looks bling too (especially compared to Frankenjura!)

I think I'll take a peak at a Verdon guidebook when we go to Cotswold to see what grades there are.

The more I think about it, Germany just doesn't feel as much of a holiday destination as the south of France!
