Broken keyboard
« on: November 14, 2011, 01:13:01 PM »
Somehow my 'one' key has broken - is there a straightforward way that I can fix it, or will it need to be done by a professional?
It's somehow been knocked and come loose, so it's only really attached by the top edge. Any ideas?

I've managed to push it back in so it at least works now.... it's just lopsided and stiff. Hmmm.

I take it it's on a laptop, in which case you just have to prize it in the right way, or buy a new scissor action bit (the bit between the laptop and the key).  Which make is it?

It's a Dell. I can see what's happened - the left side of the scissor thingy (I assume), it crossed over the wrong way, so it's no longer providing the balance.
