Decisions, decisions....

Also, if you'd be happy to help organise, can you post here :) I am more than happy to organise, but will need some help :)

I'm guessing that vertical marathon is a whole heap of climbing for ages for charity.

Ah yes, possibly should have explained ;) Apologies!

Affectively, as a team, we'd be climbing a marathon! and climbing LOTS, so we get sponsored! :)

Okay, Sport Relief is being held on campus, so this blows grand plans a little out of the window....
Do USMC want to get involved in Sport Relief a different way?
Do people still want to do a Vertical Marathon? Either for Sport Relief or another charity as I'm happy to organise, with help!? Ooor, another event (if anyone has bright ideas?)

I think we should do something charity/fundraisy this year, as it's been a couple of years since the last VM :)

as blondie suggested, maybe our charity efforts could be crag based - helping at bmc crag clean ups?

I approve of this idea too...
Wining doesn't always mean being first, winning means you're doing better than you've done before

We could do both , I like the idea of the vertical marathon as a challenge as much as a fundraiser. But can see how crag cleaning could be good for the club.
If it was down to me we'd do it for Parkinson's UK as it's a charity important to me that seems to get very little mainstream attention, but that's just me.

I agree :)

We should do charitable stuff! So many charities to choose from though  :o But I agree that it should be a less advertised one, maybe even one based in/near Guildford? I'm quite happy to help organise :) Bit gutted I've only just seen this thread... Sorry Kirsty! :(
