I'll probably be up for this, it's been a while since i was simultaneously cold, tired, scared and miserable.

How experienced do I need to be?

You'll need to have at least some winter knowledge, i don't know about Dave but i definitely don't know enough to look after someone newer than me to this whole winter thing.

Will I die?

probably

Exams finish in January on the 31st so reading week runs from 3/2 to the 10/2. So that that is when I am free.

Si was our responsible adult last year he can look after novelty.

We could spend first day pushing novelty down hills to see if he can do ice axe arrests?

Could coincide a training course for first weekend of the week.

I am the responsible one????

I think it is important to have done winter skills in Wales or Scotland, if a large number of people are interested then a winter skills course could be organised as part of Scotland trip.  As navigation and moving in difficult conditions is important in Scottish wind and whiteouts.

If a number of experienced people are going and there are only one or two inexperienced people i am sure we can make arrangements.
Were does this go!

The place where me, James Baz and Twindle last year was really good and it was a very good price!

The place is Cairngorm Christian Centre:

That place looks like its populated with Mentals.

I could be possibly interested, time dependant.

I'm currently reading touching the void. It's rapidly convincing me that i should abandon this whole winter idea and take up knitting instead.

You clearly haven't read 'The Perils of Knitting'. Really eye opening.

hmm, there's also the risk of stabbing my self with a knitting needle. Maybe chess? chess seems safe...

Touching the void gave me the opposite I quite want to go play in the mountains. Maybe I missed the message.

dave... read a few more of his books, I loved them when I read them but suddenly realised after you couldn't go more than a few pages without another of his friends dying!

If any of you young folk have/want any experience ski touring/ski mountaineering then there's a few of us who might be silly enough to go with you too.  Doesn't seem right to me walking down when there is snow on the ground!
