Pic Du Glacier blanc at the north end of the ailefroide valley.. full alpine experience.. glacier traverse, ridge, some pitches at HS ish :)
In which case club crampons and walking axes would be nice to have ;)

Yep, I'm coming. Couldn't say no really. Taking two days off sick to do this. I didn't say that.

The website has had a makeover since I have last been on there. It actually looks quite nice and easy to use for once!

Just had a chat with an MIC, there's the Aiguille Dibona which is an epic looking mountain.

dibona looks awesome. it's about 2.5 hour drive from ailfroide though :( i'll have a look on ukc for something similar nearer..

btw i've not done any winter climbing before so i'm out for glacier routes. i stick to rock routes :)

Does the club have radios this year? A couple of pairs between everyone would be more than useful.

Yes, but we have either lost the chargers or are really rubbish. You are welcome to buy your own!

The Eurotunnel is now booked!

The two buses are booked for the same trains and here are the details:

UK to France: Check in closes 8:06, Departure 8:36

France to UK: Check in closes: 20:06, Departure 20:36

As you can see we have to get the train early on the 20/6. Therefore the buses will be leaving campus at 6:30 AM.

I know it is an early start but aim to be at channies from 6am so we can get away on time!

No risk of oversleeping then as I will in all likelihood still be up drinking!

Assume some bus loading will occur Friday?

Yeah, we have the buses from Friday afternoon onwards. I will round up some people to help.

The main thing is that those on AZT will need to put the majority of their shit in the split van as it doesn't have too much space in the boot. i.e. Put your tent, sleeping bag, roll mat and day bag on AZT and put the rest in the split as the buses are more than likely going to arrive a different times.
