« on: July 30, 2010, 09:59:23 AM »
me and matt short are heading to n wales in a couple of weeks. the weather will be great and many large routes will be climbed.

not entirely sure where we'll climb yet but gogarth is looking very tempting. or possibly cloggy. will decide nearer the time.

Check your diary. Thats the weekend we have already booked for climbing. Not sure about going to wales though - might be nice to do shorter routes as only really done multipitch lately. We can decide where to go at a later point

We should also make a decision based partly on the weather!

I'm vaguely tempted by this but not really up for Gogarth. Sounds a bit too hard and bold for me.

Not sure about going to wales though - might be nice to do shorter routes as only really done multipitch lately.

If we go to Tremadog there's the single pitch crag on top of the hill by eric's barn. I might be up for some of that for a day.

If we took cars then there'd be more flexibility.

i think i've done almost everything in my grade at tremadog now. need to go elsewhere! could leave gogarth til another time but really want to head somewhere other than tremadog.

as for travelling, it depends how many of us go i guess. i'm happy to drive in my car. m@t's got a car too so we're not short on options ;)

Ok, I'd be up for anywhere else. I want to test drive my new guidebook with lots of big easy stuff in it :)

Try some of the North Pemroke stuff (around St. Davids and the like) there is climbing on the cliff below the campsite :D

There be some bigness in South wales the other side of the head land from where we were there were multi pitches ;)

or save it for another time, better climbing than South Pembroke in that it gets climbed less so isn't shiney and there are about 2 miles of little coves and zawns that are climbable with pretty good range of grades.

I'm not too fussed just as long as it is VS or harder and more than 1 pitch although I have seen lots of pretty pictures of pembrokeshire. I was originally thinking Gogarth, cloggy or something like that. I might not have a car, it is in for its MOT on Thursday and I'm not that confident that it will pass.

Id like some Ogwen action. There is a huge route in the snowdon amphitheatre I'd like to do too.

well if we take wo cars we can do both Ogwen and Gogarth and everyone will be happy and skipping and there will be bunnies (fluffy ones) and the sun will shine and there will be great joy :)

so we'll do that.. if we can get 2 cars
