between 70 and 80.

Is this only those who've signed up at SSP front desk? so excludes anyone who's just given 10 to the club?  I thought we usually had about 100 in recent years...
Yes, people who only pay the 10 aren't counted by the union, which is a pity as we have about 30 people who only paid the 10.

We've had between 70 and 80 "official" members for the past 3 years or so, dunno how many we had before that.

I think it's just surf and wake have grown hugely, and not that we've shrunk.

According to the figures Kirsty gave me we haven't been above 100 this year or the previous two.

we were over 100 for a couple of years running... including the year the sport sab told us directly we were a small fringe club at the start of the year and doubted we'd find more than 30 members... turned out we were the biggest most active club of all :D

According to the figures I and therefore Team surrey have:
09/10 : 76
10/11: 72
11/12: 70

I put 75 down as a target for 2012/13

Do Surf and Wake have to sign up to SSP to get their members included?

I'm not sure how their membership works they are still a team surrey club but don't "train" at SSP like we do so I'm not sure how their membership works.

Aren't they similar to Snowsports, in that they do a trip which makes them appear popular?

That's everyone... We were somehow a lot smaller this year than previous years, when you take into account both Team Surrey payments and paying the club.

Union are doing membership a little differently this year... The people that pay us 10, instead of joining SSP and being a Team Surrey member are classed as "social members" and this is the same for Snowsports and Ski and Wake due to their big trips that would push their membership up to a bizillion

Yes, people who only pay the 10 aren't counted by the union, which is a pity as we have about 30 people who only paid the 10.

Wasn't that many who paid the club this year... But yeah, the numbers the Union/Team Surrey care about are the ones through SSP as apparently "social members" don't count ;)

So how does surf and wake for example work , because they don't use SSP?

If this was your Q "So how does surf and wake for example work , because they don't use SSP?" then I thiiinkkk how it works is that there are Team Surrey clubs and non-Team Surrey clubs and the memberships work a little different :) I don't 100% know, but I know that they don't count their social members that simply go on a couple of trips as Trung didn't think that would be fair (fair point!!)
