Has Brian seen our logo potentially includes a cam yet ?
He is known for his love of cams after all and I can imagine he will be especially thrilled by this.......

Also is this logo for a fleece or hoody?

I came up with this based on the idea of the actual USMC

But we are the actual USMC :-)

I only just twigged that USMC stood for United States Marine Corps. I love us even more now!!!

But maybe have 'Mountaineering Club' the right way round (like the Navy one) rather than upside down?
So have university of surrey on the top in place of department of navy
then mountaineering club where marine corp goes.

Yeah exactly.
But we should have "Mountaineering Club" in bigger letters and "University of Surrey" in smaller ones as we want people to notice the mountaineering more than the uni.

But yes, i love it Killian!

When people tag the club on Facebook now, it comes up with "____, _____, & ______ Have mentioned the United States Marine Corps in their posts" and it's all because we say USMC :) Made me giggle!

I like it :) But I think the colours would need looking at....especially as this would massively limit the choice of clothing colours you could have. Is it silly to suggest black and white? :D x

Would it not work just having hoody colours like navy, dark red, dark green etc? Or even grey?

I like it too, maybe nice to have mountains in the circle instead of a map...?

Might be a good idea to check with a printing company what level of detail they can do too... And how much multiple colours costs.  I think in the past we've had quite coarse designs and only one colour, but would be good if we find somewhere that can do better! :)
Wining doesn't always mean being first, winning means you're doing better than you've done before

This is true... Multiple colours get massively expensive.
The cheapest I know of around here are A3 printers and Xamax (who I think we usually go with); they'll print something like this but will want it in vector format, but they may tell you to reduce amount of colours to reduce the costs, or get all of the same colour hoodie, or both!

We got embroidered a few years ago with xamax. They did it for free for the logo which is what they do for printing.

You won't get that level of detail in embroidery I'm afraid, it needs to be blocks of colour, not an intricate design.

But the various societies who sport some kind of coat of harms have that level of detail in embroidery.
