Would be cool to check out Wye Valley. Could go to Wye on the Saturday and stay in the bunker near the coombe then climb in the coombe Sunday?? Just read lots of accounts of loose rock there.....!! Sunday may be a seconding day for me...!! :/

the coombe is fine - i've been there a few times and had good days. it's slightly friable at the very top of the crag - a bit like climbing at swanage - but nothing to get upset about :)

I wouldn't mind just a day trip but if everyone else is going for 2 days i don't mind.

And subsequently, I'm no longer going. 1) lack of lift, and more importantly 2) it'll be freezing cold (and I'm a wimp)

Looks like just the climbing part is failing, and I'm going to bail, just to avoid the standing round and loosing fingers
